A third of web pages published since ChatGPT’s launch show signs of AI authorship, study finds
A Pew Research study finds that over one‑third of web pages published since ChatGPT’s November 2022 launch show clear signs of AI authorship or heavy AI editing, based on analysis of half a million pages using Open Pangram detection tools. The trend is especially pronounced on .com sites, while .edu, .gov and .org domains remain far less affected, highlighting the rapid diffusion of AI‑generated content across the public web.
